This fountain cover is skillfully crafted from strong and lightweight Tyvek® material to withstand nature's elements. It's a one-way, breathable cover that lets trapped moisture out and blocks rain and dust from getting in.

In general, cast stone fountains and all concrete are vulnerable to absorbing small amounts of moisture since they're slightly porous. So when the weather gets very cold, moisture can gets into the fountain's pores and freeze. This can cause small cracks and chips which you don't want to happen. So you need to keep your fountain covered and protected throughout the freezing winter to maintain its appearance.
